THIS adaptation of William Gibson’s 2014 novel takes us to a near future where virtual reality has become worryingly detached from societal norms. In a small US town, Chloë Grace Moritz’s Flynn Fisher and her ex-soldier brother Burton (Jack Reynor) earn money by playing ultra-realistic video games so they can afford to look after their sick mother. But when they’re asked to test out a new game set in a bleak future London they begin to question what they’re doing and what is real. A compelling sci-fi series stylishly done.
