‘Homemade spears’ and shotgun shells seized in raid
POLICE FIND KNIVES TAPED TO POLE AND A BROOM
POLICE seized two homemade spears from a woman in West London during a search of her home. The spears appear to have been created by attaching large knives to the end of a broom and a long pole.
Officers found the spears when they conducted a warrant at a “problematic address” in Warwick Road, Earl’s Court, on October 10.
Safer neighbourhood officers from Earl’s Court and surrounding wards executed a Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act search warrant following intelligence linking the address to drug dealing.
While executing the warrant several items were seized, which also included around 200 shotgun shells.
One woman was arrested at the scene and the investigation is ongoing. Earl’s Court SNT is in the process of applying for a closure order for the address due to substantial antisocial behaviour and criminality.
