MY FATHER’S DRAGON Netflix, from Friday, November 11

■ IRISH animation house Cartoon Salon, which brought us the excellent Wolfwalkers and Song Of The Sea, is back with a new feature that comes to Netflix this week. Jacob Tremblay provides the voice of Elmer Elevator, a young boy who leaves the city of Nevergreen for the mysterious Wild Island which is full of ferocious beasts – among them a captive dragon. As with Cartoon Salon’s previous efforts, you can expect beautiful animation paired with an affecting and emotional story.
