Francis Lawrence, director of the concluding three films of The Hunger Games franchise, helms a fantastical adventure based on Winsor McCay’s Little Nemo In Slumberland comic strip.
Precocious teenager Nemo (Marlow Barkley) is distraught when her father Peter (Kyle Chandler) is unexpectedly lost at sea.
Her life is abruptly upended and Nemo is sent to live in the city with her
socially awkward uncle Phillip (Chris O’Dowd).
Nemo struggles to acclimatise at a new school and to forge meaningful emotional connections.
Instead, she seeks solace in a secret map to the fantastical world of Slumberland where she joins forces with eccentric outlaw Flip (Jason Momoa) and embarks on madcap adventures in a realm where dreams and nightmares collide.
In cinemas now and on Netflix from November 18
