Ealing man slams ‘dangerous’ fake dog prank

-

A FURIOUS man from Ealing has warned locals about a ‘dangerous prank’ that has almost sent cars skidding off the road.

Ai Valentine took to a local Facebook group to warn people about a group of women ranging from 18 to around 60 pulling a fake dog prank on motorists.

The reckless prank involved leaving a fake dog toy on a zebra crossing so that cars would swerve to avoid running over what they thought was a real dog.

Ai said he spotted the group of about five or six women filming and laughing as drivers turned dangerously to avoid hitting the stuffed toy.

In a post to Hanwell Friends, the distressed Ealing local wrote: “Just walked past the Village Inn pub on Boston Road.

As I approached a group of maybe five or six women put a fake dog in the middle of zebra crossing and filmed a van swerve to avoid hitting it while laughing.”

He describes them as about 18 years except for one who was ‘much older around 60 years old’, much to his surprise.

Ali finished his post: “Honestly, this is really not ok. If a car swerved hard enough to hit something you’re absolutely responsible. This isn’t funny at all, it’s really dangerous.”

Comments underneath the post seem to imply that motorists have had problems near the pub before. One wrote: “I don’t like driving past that pub in the evenings. I once had someone come out of that pub, and at the zebra crossing tried to get in my car,” commented local resident Tony Gill.

Elaine Ni Chiraba, in response to Tony said: “That is shocking. I once had someone do something similar.”

Other seemed to agree with Ali’s assessment of the dangers.

Mark Soudan added: “Wait until one, or all of them gets done for manslaughter - won’t be laughing then will they?”
