I got a cordyline in a pot this summer – does it need to come indoors for winter?

AIt

really depends on your local climate. Cordylines survive very well in milder coastal areas but can suffer if temperatures get very low. If you’re worried you could move it indoors to the porch or greenhouse if you have one. If it’s too heavy to move, your best bet is to tie the fronds up against the stem and completely cover the stem and foliage with some horticultural fleece or hessian and cover around the roots with a mulch.
