Peter

Nose: Gentle, treacle tart and baked apple. Soft, sweet oak and a touch of vanilla.

Palate: Apple juice sweetness with a creamy sweet, oily texture. Oak reveals itself nicely.

Finish: Gentle sweet plummy stone fruit, with baking spices. Finishes on a slightly disjointed, oak note.

Comments: The balance between rum and time in oak is almost spot on, but the wood hasn’t quite integrated yet – nearly – but not quite. Really nice and I could see myself returning to this.

Nose: Wow. Love this nose. Treacle puddings and a small glass of sherry on the side. A prickle of oak and a vanilla yoghurt too.

Palate: Some considerable heft from the oak. More of the treacle, some creamy vanilla and a light mouthfeel that coats the tongue. Bourbon influence.

Finish: Sweet, with cinnamon and nutmeg present.

Comments: A great sipping option that has clout to it. Flavours develop nicely and its time in oak has worked well.
