Peter

Nose: Stewed, spiced apple tart running riot. Lovely grassy, vegetal sugarcane.

Palate: Rich custard tart, stewed orchard fruits, baking spices and lovely oak.

Finish: Gentle heat, and a medium finish full of pepper spices and capsicum at the end, with a hint of boiled spinach.

Comments: Complex and engaging.

Maybe just a little too vegetal to be more widely accepted. But very, very drinkable all the same.

Sam

Nose: Sweet with a herbal edge. Mown lawns, caramel, red berries, milk chocolate and a little vanilla.

Palate: Grilled pineapple, apricot yoghurts and coconut. Caramel, vanilla and then the oak arrives – grips a little, but prevents everything from getting too sweet.

Finish: A bit like a cherry Bakewell.

Comments: Something special about this one. Complex. Flavours that stand out well on their own.
