Nose: Rich, stewed orchard fruits and windblown apples. But with a lovely honeycomb, butterscotch edge.

Palate: Sweetness, like concentrated strawberries. Rich dark berry fruits, candy cane.

Finish: Cinnamon, baking spices in a controlled, medium to long finish.

Comments: One of my favourite things to drink. A testament to the skills of the master blender – bringing all that complexity together in a beautifully balanced manner.

Sam

Nose: Apple pie territory. It’s got a rich cinnamon topping with a caramel edge.

Palate: A dark, rich berry compote, that eventually gives way to a slightly lighter orange note. Vanilla and nutmeg brings both a floral touch and spice.

Finish: Middling length, with the red berries the dominant flavour. Slightly drying.

Comments: The transition and variety from nose to palate is excellent. Well handled and one to enjoy unadulterated.
