Nose: Sweet fruit, pineapple, ripe banana, mango, green apple and all manner of tropical loveliness. Powerful, and reminiscent of banana chews, fruit salad, drumsticks…

Palate: Sweet rush of bold, diesel-y, heavy, high ester pot still notes. A strong grip of oak.

Finish: Lingering tropical fruits. Chewy like stroopwafels.

Comments: In era of neutral spirit masquerading as rum, this is a sharp wake-up call as to just how amazing rum can be.

Sam

Nose: A plethora of candied sweet notes. There’s freshly baked apple pies treacle desserts and chewy confectionary too.

Palate: Caramel forward, but then gets heavier with an almost oil like note to it. Herbal from then with a lot of oak to it. More sweets.

Finish: Truly lasting – lots of oak and them some of the richer sweetness from the palate returns.

Comments: Powerful stuff. Looks like it might go too far, before reinging in. So much that’s good about this.
