Nose: Bold diesel-y pot still notes, rich molasses and fruit. Baking spices weave.

Palate: Heavy pot still, wrapped with a beautifully integrated oak. Raisin, sultana, and dried mango, along with baking spices again.

Finish: Long, long, lingering finish develops into fruit and sweet oak, before returning to the tar and diesel and lingering smoke.

Comments: Take your time, let each sip develop and then dive in for another. Rum like this is an absolute pleasure.

Nose: Liquorice and molasses. You’ve just opened up a bag of Allsorts. More to it than that, with ripe tropical fruits making an appearance.

Palate: More of the tropical notes come through first – pineapple and then there’s cinnamon, raisins and a touch of ginger to warm things up.

Finish: More of the spicier notes from the palate.

Cigar smoke.

Comments: Diverse flavours and excellent balance.
