Nose: Creamy toasted coconut and a concentrated cream of coconut – rich and full. A little nutty edge of Brazil nuts, walnuts, and some cinnamon.

Palate: Soft and overly sweet. There’s unmissable fresh grated coconut, but then there’s the rum base underneath.

Finish: Simple… with more coconut…

Comments: There’s a ‘Hawaiian Tropic’ vibe when stretched with pineapple juice, but the rum base is present enough to make this a grownup offering.

Nose: Buttery and creamy notes of coconut, vanilla, and then a hint of lemon and orange.

Palate: A good texture with a delicate sweetness followed by strong notes of coconut that are creamy, combined with the nuttiness of coconut ice.

Finish: Citrus on the finish with a light rum character.

Comments: This has good potential for mixed drinks where you want identifiable coconut notes, but I’d have liked more rum character.
