Nose: A large hit of rose-perfumed talcum powder. The longer I nose the more I am convinced I am smelling chocolate-covered Turkish delight.

Palate: Incredibly soft and sweet, thick and oily. Milk chocolate, black cherry and almonds.

Finish: Highly perfumed and mouth filling. Lingers long, eventually revealing a light touch of dry cask spice.

Comments: I trust the cask is working its ‘maturation magic’ rather than a flavoured spirit drink.

Nose: Coconut macaroons with chocolate and a gentle sprinkle of vanilla spice.

Palate: Relatively sweet, with rich, creamy toffee and caramel flavours with a dusting of salinity. This develops into a creamy butteriness that reminds me of coconut ice cream.

Finish: A gentle build-up of heat, with lingering notes of banana and then some pineapple.

Comments: A slightly sweet rum that would be delightful in a

Piña Colada.
