Nose: Rich molasses, dried dates, a touch of orange peel, cinnamon, and ginger, with a heavy rum note of tarmac and diesel engine.

Palate: Brightens with a burst of summer and tropical fruits. Pineapple, banana, ripe apple, pear and a touch of orange citrus. Lovely sweetness to it.

Finish: Rich and warming with a tiny touch of caramel bitterness. Demands a second sip.

Comments: A fabulous blend - the distinctly unique points of origin come together well. Bravo.

David

Nose: Rich and luxurious treacle and toffee, combined with a sappy cedar woodiness and refreshing aromas of lemon sherbet.

Palate: Warming with an initial sweetness that quickly progresses to a dry, more mature character with a slight dark chocolate bitterness there.

Finish: Lingering pepper with menthol notes of cubeb that tingle on the tongue.

Comments: An impressive spirit with an unusual character and good alcohol integration too.
