Nose: A quirky combination of almonds, black cherry, vanilla and tart Victoria plum – a riot of aromas you would not normally associate with rum.
Palate: A sweeter progression of the nose arrives onto the palate and develops into Bakewell tart.
Finish: Shortish, with a tart plummy note running through the centre of my tongue.
Comments: The use of wine casks for maturation results in something of an odd-ball rum. Quite unusual – some may find it a little jarring in its delivery.

Nose: Banana, ripe and fruity, with some oat, joined by a hint of flapjack and Bourbon too.
Palate: Sweet upfront with lots of salted caramel notes that make this dessert-like, but not too confectionery in nature. A slightly smoky salinity adds balance, before more delicate notes of peanut and cashew.
Finish: Milky coffee flavours with a little chocolatey nuttiness.
Comments: An unusual rum with a sweet character that would be really fantastic in a hot chocolate.
