Nose: Like an apple pie with a dollop of banana custard on top. Sultana-like fruity notes, lots of vanilla. Very inviting.

Palate: Oily and tart to start, softening to reveal lots of fruity cooked apples and some pears.

Finish: Balanced throughout. A hit of baking spices fades into a gentle warmth and astringency, without entirely losing the lovely fruity character.

Comments: An absolute cracker of a rhum. Complex, and yet approachable the ABV works nicely with this sip.

Nose: A magnificent bouquet bursts from the glass: the unmistakable grape notes of Cognac, followed by more grassy notes of cane.

Palate: Juicy, with citrus notes of lemon and lime followed by pineapple and mango, all complemented by flavours of milk chocolate and cappuccino.

Finish: A robust finish with a cosy warmth and lingering tannin notes. Lovely!

Comments: If you are a fan of rum and Cognac, then this is for you. A treat to savour neat.
