Nose: An aroma with all the characteristics of a blend of heavy rums first, with spices second. It is like a glass of strong punch. Ripe banana, pineapple, and a grating of nutmeg.

Palate: Ripe banana and pineapple. Heavy, high-ester rum, with a nice grip of oak.

Finish: Long lasting, dry, and spicy. Fresh ginger heat, with a flash of citrus.

Comments: This rum is lighter on the botanicals and heavier on the rum character. Very well constructed – I am impressed!

Nose: A symphony of spice – vanilla and woody mace or allspice – is accompanied by raisins, cocoa nibs, and coconut. Over time, aromas of gingerbread develop.

Palate: Exceptionally spicy, but as you start to explore this spirit, it reveals a resinous and nutty character with fantastic woody notes and a delicate leafiness.

Finish: Cinnamon and rich, woody notes, with dark fruit.

Comments: A great approach to a spiced rum – nuanced, complex and original.
