Nose: Gentle vanilla and coconut. Dried stone fruits.

Palate: Soft over the palate. Sweet milky vanilla custard, with just a hint of crisp white pear.

Finish: Short, with a little peppery tingle.

Comments: From nose to finish this is a light-in-character, young rum. It feels honest, but is lacking some depth that would make it a ‘sipper’. This feels firmly at home in the mixing category.

Nose: A dash of sherry, reminiscent of a spirit that has been finished in an ex-sherry cask. Distinctly fruity with some tea-like tannins and woody spice.

Palate: A clean rum with notes of peanut, oak, and vanilla. As time goes on, some orgeat-like almond flavours develop, along with the fruitiness of raisins.

Finish: Strawberries and cream, with a tingle of heat.

Comments: A dry, fruity rum with a pleasant complexity that would work well in a Rum Manhattan.
