Nose: Rich and honeyed. Golden syrup, with gentle notes of cinnamon, vanilla, ginger, cardamom, and some nutmeg.

Palate: Sweet honeycomb and ginger notes.

Finish: Fresh ginger heat in a short finish.

Comments: This feels sweet, but the sweetness works as the flavours are also concentrated, making for a nicely balanced drink if sipped neat or perhaps over ice.

Palate: A good texture: rich and thick with a delicately sweet creaminess before layers of baking spice. A touch of Christmas cookies and crème caramel.

Finish: The spice turns slightly hotter with notes of black pepper and cassia; gently oily and lingering too.

Comments: A spiced rum with a bold character that is typical of the style.
