Nose: Immediately offers a lot of complexity, born from different rum styles. Harmonious and inviting. Lots of fruit cake, but with a ‘green’ top note. Gentle ginger and then cardamom.

Palate: Much lighter than expected, but consistent. Soft, sweet, fruity.

Finish: A little quiet, short. That ‘green’ note pops up again.

Comments: Lots of promise on the nose, but the presentation strength lets it down a bit. It might make for an everyday drinking rum.

Nose: Subtle fruit notes, in particular mango, alongside woody oak aromas and a touch of spice.

Palate: An initial honeyed sweetness is followed by more woody, menthol flavours. It is quite light in character, but that is to be expected with the lower ABV.

Finish: Quite a dry finish with gentle notes of creamy caramel and a hint of black pepper.

Comments: This is light, accessible and would work well with mixers, but I’d like a little more intensity of character.
