Nose: Packed full of dark, sticky gingerbread cake, just like I used to love when I visited my uncle and aunties as a child.
Palate: A cup of sweet black coffee onto the palate. Red summer fruits, and a gentle bitterness.
Finish: A short burst of spice fades quickly into a tight grip of oak.
Comments: This really is an engaging rum with lots and lots upfront. The finish isn’t as lasting as it could be, but the rum really drinks well. Yes, please!

Nose: Plump, fruity notes on the nose: mango, papaya, and raspberry. Vanilla oak towards the end, with a restrained creaminess.
Palate: A fresh, lively palate full of plump grape and raisin, with a ripple of Christmas spice and cherry, too.
Finish: Lingering vine fruit and some toasted sugar. A spirit that is partrum, part-Cognac.
Comments: A pleasant and exceptionally sippable spirit that is refined and would be best reserved to enjoy neat or even on the rocks.
