Loan shark suspects bailed after arrests
TWO suspects have been bailed after loan shark raids in Runcorn.
The England Illegal Money Lending Team (IMLT) said the men, aged 39 and 58, were arrested on suspicion of illegal money lending and money laundering.
They were pending enquiries.
Three warrants were executed at residential properties in Runcorn and Speke last Wednesday, March 15, in a joint operation between the IMLT, Halton Borough Coun- bailed further cil and Liverpool City Council’s Trading Standards department, Merseyside Police and Cheshire Constabulary.
An IMLT spokeswoman said investigators seized documentation, electronic devices and cash.
The suspects from Runcorn were taken into custody for questioning by IMLT officers.
Cheshire police tweeted that the Runcorn warrants were in Sandymoor and Murdishaw.
