Side-splitting play has a lot of sole
● Fits
AHILARIOUS comedy will be coming to a Runcorn theatre next month. The Brindley on High Street will host If The Shoe Fits with performances on Tuesday, June 13, and Wednesday, June 14.
Boom Boom Productions received an award for the production and it brings back Charlie Griffiths to Runcorn – who took part in last year’s Christmas pantomime – filling the role of Liz in the play.
A Halton Borough Council spokesman said: “Liz is the raving gossipy mother hen and the glue that holds the ‘sole’ together, but often puts her size 10 feet in it.
“Sally’s got a problem. Chas has a secret. Daphne doesn’t have a clue. Liz has toes like monkey nuts. After Chas drops the big one, there is only one course of action!
“Filled to the brim with shots, shocks and lethal cocktails, the revelations come thick and fast, turning a day to forget into a night to remember.
“This show has everything you would expect from the characters at Goody 2 Shooz.
“The sharp observations and humour in everyday life will leave you thankful for the interval to give your sides a breather from the non-stop laughter!”
The play is written by Donna Lesley Price and directed by Richie Grice. Tickets are £15 and £13. To book visit www.thebrindley.org.uk or call the box office on 0151 907 8360. ‘STRICTLY’ Halton will be coming to Widnes later this year.
The Select Security Stadium will host the event on Saturday, August 12.
The 10-piece Five Star Swing will present its unique Big Band experience.
Members have appeared on BBC TV’s Children In Need at Blackpool Tower’s Ballroom.
Dancing will cover all styles including modern ballroom, strict tempo and Latin American styles, plus 1940s and jive music.
A Halton Borough Council spokesman said: “Come along and join in!” Tickets are £15.
Bookings of 10 or more will receive a reserved table and reception drink on arrival.
