HALTON Rocks returns for its eighth show in seven years this summer in Widnes to raise money for a good cause.

The popular event will be held at The Studio on Lacey Street and showcase live music in aid of the Heswall Disabled Children’s Holiday Fund.

The event continues to bring the best talent from the borough to the stage in a purpose built live music venue with a fully licensed bar, attracting between 200 and 300 people every year in support of charity.

Heswall Disabled Children’s Holiday Fund hosts a completely free week-long summer camp each August for up to 30 children aged between nine and 15 from the North West who have physical disabilities.

Each year Halton Rocks plays a vital role making that possible.

This year’s line-up includes headlin- er’s Kessler, The Johns, The Quicks, The Quayz, The Coralaines, Matthew McGurty, Catherine Hardman and Strangers.

Organiser Laura Griffiths said: “Our local music scene does some fantastic work in support of charities in our local area.

“Halton Rocks has been an integral part of that over the last seven years led by Si Owens, and we hope that this year continues to build on that legacy with one of the best line-ups we’ve ever had.”

There will also be a raffle featuring generous prize donations from businesses including a family ice skating pass from Silver Blades and a limited edition Harley Quinn collectable figurine from Widnes-based comic store, Freaking Awesome. ● Halton Rocks 2017 takes place on Saturday, June 10, at The Studio.
