Millfield at home to the Wellington started with a bang as they took the first four games through Bill Fox, Dave Sutton, Ian Wall and opening pair, Ronnie Greylish & Billy Fox.

The Wellington recovered a point via Lol Fonterigo & G Prescott, only to see the Millfield’s Alan Sutton & Chris Taylor take it back and ensure their match victory.

The Wellington resolved not to let the Millfield have it all their own way as Barry Highfield (13 darts) and John Glover added to their tally.

However, it was the Millfield’s night as Chris Hall wrapped up a 6-3 success.

In Division Two, Birchfield at home to Widnes Cricket Club took the first game through Ian Sharples.

The Cricket Club then levelled through Ben Hewitt before a further two wins from Kev Baxter (15 darts) and opening pair, Ben Hewitt & Rob Morris gave them a healthy lead.

The Birchfield’s Carl Bryan & Alan Rigby recovered a point, but the Cricket Club were on a roll as a further two wins from Ste Heesom & Ernie Griffiths and Billy Cain (16 darts) ensured their victory.

This was no consolation to the Birchfield whose Matt Fisher (15 darts) and Trevor Chadwick (12 darts) took the final two games.

Goldmine at home to the Majors Arms claimed the first game through Sean Bell.

Luke Carey then levelled for the Majors, before a further two wins from Nicky Duff and opening pair, Mark France & Nicky Duff gave them a decent lead.
