BUSINESS studies students from Widnes attended an exciting three day residential trip to Paris to mark the end of their course.

A party from Cronton Sixth Form College took in the French capital’s main sights including the Eiffel Tower, Arc De Triomphe and the famous Champs-Élysées Boulevard.

The students also ascended the imposing Montparnasse Tower to take in stunning 360 degree city views, and enjoyed an evening cruise down the River Seine.

A visit to the world famous Stade De France proved to be both educational and enjoyable as students learned how France’s national stadium operates, generates income and markets itself.

A trip to the world’s largest museum – The Louvre – was culturally enriching as students got to see Leonardo da Vinci’s iconic Mona Lisa painting.

The trip was rounded off with some free time for shopping and sampling the French cuisine in the city’s café culture hot spots.

Business tutor Bryan Doyle said: “This was a hugely successful trip and it was great to be able to enjoy a few days away with our students after they have put in two years of hard work.

“Some of our students had not left the UK before and it was incredibly rewarding to see their horizons broadened as they experienced a different culture as well as learning about business in a non-UK setting.” ●
