ARUNCORN police officer has been honoured at Cheshire Constabulary’s annual awards.
PC Katrina Bonnon received her Achieving Cheshire Excellence (ACE) award in the Service to Victims category.
A spokesman for the force said PC Bonnon works tirelessly in her role and always has victims’ best interests at the heart of every incident she attends.
The awards recognise officers, staff and volunteers who have ‘gone the extra mile and demonstrated exceptional commitment to policing’ in the county, the force said.
PC Bannon discovered her triumph at a glitzy bash at Fir Grove Hallmark Hotel in Warrington on Friday, September 15.
Acting Chief Constable Janette McCormick, who was presenting the awards, said: “The ACE Awards is a great opportunity to recognise some of the fantastic work that is done across Cheshire Constabulary each and every day.
“This year’s awards ceremony once again demonstrated that we have some of the best police officers and staff members in the country, and reflected the dedication and commitment I see every day across the constabulary.
“Everyone who was nominated deserves recognition for going above and beyond the call of duty to support victims of crime or their wider communities.
“I would also like to congratulate and give a special mention to all those who won awards on the night.”
David Keane, Cheshire Police And Crime Commissioner, said: “I am enormously impressed by all the work undertaken to keep our communities safe and the ACE awards are a fantastic opportunity to highlight and recognise this hard work.”
