The Stute recovered a point through Ged McPartland, only to see the Millfield’s Billy Fox take the penultimate contest (19 darts) sealing the match.

The Stute’s Glynn Owen won a consolation final game.

The Wellington at home to Mill Brow SC secured the first game through Ste Whitfield. The Brow then levelled via Alan Friar (14 darts).

Two wins from the Wellington’s Anthony Hall (14 darts) and their opening pair, Anthony Hall & Kath Conway took them ahead.

The Brow narrowed the gap with a win from Carl Hackney & Jack Dunn, only to see the Wellington’s Karl Whitfield & Barry Highfield take it back.

The Brow fought back to level the match score at 4-4 with two in a row from Carl Hackney and Paul Linger.

However, the final outcome was resolved as Karl Whitfield secured the final game and the match for the Wellington.

However, the Stadium continued their rout and proceeded to take the next three games through John Bowles & Alan Magee, Eddie Dootson & Kevin Garcia and John Bowles confirming their victory.

With the match already won in the Stadium’s favour, the Bowler did not let their opponents have it quite all their own way as Tommy Robertson and Tex Bowles won the final two encounters.
