ON Friday evening in the Widnes & District Darts League, the Mill Brow SC RTB League round 17 was played.

In Division Two, the Corpy at home to the Main Top, conceded the first game to the visitors’ Tony Hanson.

The Corpy then levelled with a win from Dave Cowan.

The Top took the lead again through Mick Glynn before a win from the Corpy’s opening pair, Jamie Anderson & Alan Pennington, restored parity, leaving all to play for.

The Top took the next game through Callum Taylor & Alan Wright, only to see the Corpy start a rout, winning three games in a row via Mike Ruane & Jeff Thompson, then back in the singles, Jeff Thompson and Dave Pickles securing their match success.

The Top’s Sharon Unsworth took the final game, but it was just a consolation.

The Cricketers Arms at home to Hough Green SC, got off to a flying start as they took the first five games via Owen Batty, Bryan Mercer, Graham Fenney, Ian Connor & Owen Batty and Graham Fenney & Paul Mason guaranteeing their match triumph.

Hough Green did not let the Cricketers have it all their own way as third pair up Tony Barker & Dave McIntosh finally put their team on the scoresheet.

Ian Connor secured the next contest for the Cricketers before Keith Glover won the penultimate game for Hough Green. With the match already in the bag, Paul Mason claimed the final clash of the night wrapping up a 7-2 success for the home outfit.
