Arson threat after dog return appeal
ADOG owner has said she suffered arson threats after she appealed over the whereabouts of her puppy reported to have been stolen on Sunday in Runcorn.
Kimberley Dyas, 35, of Murdishaw, said she received a message on Tuesday evening to say a mystery visitor had now left Krystal with a neighbour.
This followed three days of frantic worry over the whereabouts of the a 13-week-old Bichon Frise and an appeal on social media.
Following alleged threats to burn her house down, Miss Dyas said she had to move temporarily out of the area and is due to receive a fire brigade home safety assessment.
Miss Dyas said the puppy was stolen while she was at home in Murdishaw on Sunday when three men in their 20s and 30s walked in, grabbed Krystal and left.
She said she believed it was stolen after being spotted being walked and was sold on for £500 in another part of Murdishaw.
The dog lover said that prior to news of its return she had been left ‘in bits’ and had not yet told her eight-year-old daughter who she feared would be similarly upset.
A Cheshire Constabulary spokesman said there have been no arrests but enquiries were ongoing.
Miss Dyas said: “Three lads were in my house and just walked out with her.
“I’ve been getting threats from one of the lads.
“I’ve had to stay at my partner’s because they’ve said they’re going to burn my house down. They’ve seen me around with her, I think they’ve got a buyer and they’ve come in and taken her.”
She added: “I’ve had her since December 21, she’s microchipped and registered to my address and my name.
“I’m absolutely in bits, it’s my little girl is as well – she’s only eight.”
