3D print powder firm in export top 100 list
WORLDWIDE demand for a Runcorn-based firm’s high-quality metal powders for metal 3D printing has propelled it into the Sunday Times Lloyds SME Export Track 100 for the second year running.
The league table ranks the UK’s small and medium-sized (SME) companies with the fastest-growing international sales.
LPW Technology of Berkeley Court in Manor Park is one of only eight North West companies to appear.
LPW chief executive Dr Phil Carroll said: “LPW is servicing a global market.
“We differentiate our offering through quality, consistency and excellent customer service, and this has ensured our customer base has expanded year on year.
“We’re very pleased to be included among the 100 top-performing exporters.”
A recipient of the Queen’s Award for Excellence In International Trade 2016, the global leader in the manufacture, development and processing of metal powders has a thriving research and development programme to enable it to anticipate the future needs of this fastgrowing disruptive technology.
It is growing its workforce as the company is poised to move into its new £20m purpose-built factory of the future in Widnes in the next few weeks.
LPW’s US subsidiary has relocated to a larger facility in Pennsylvania.
Through a growing global network of professional resellers and this international focus, export sales have grown by 30% in the last 12 months alone. ●
