Yobs target ski slope users
YOBS have been making misery for residents in two neighbouring Runcorn neighbourhoods including throwing stones and intimidating ski slope users.
Police reported there had been a ‘large increase’ in anti-social behaviour around Norton and Murdishaw.
PCSO Chris McCue said most incidents were neighbour disputes, vehicle queries and Halton Council-related issues. However, young menaces have been intimidating visitors to Runcorn Snowsports Centre ski slope and Murdishaw Community Centre. CCTV is being reviewed. A fire was also set behind Norton Lodge Care Home.
In Murdishaw, residents of Tilbury Place, Humphreys Close and Hitchens Close have suffered a rise in criminal damage including to fence posts and windows being smashed.
Writing in a neighbourhood newsletter, PCSO McCue said upcoming police surgeries will take place at Murdishaw Community Centre from 5-6pm on Thursday, June 14; noon-1pm on Wednesday, June 20; and 5-6pm on Tuesday, June 26.
