Dippnall set to stay on with Wild

-

THE Widnes Wild are delighted to announce the return of Shaun ‘Dippy’ Dippnall for a sixth season.

Dippnall has played virtually all of his senior hockey at the Wild apart from a mid-career move which saw him ice for just nine games for another side.

For the Wild, Dippnall has won two playoff medals, played 133 games scoring 234 points including the crucial five-hole penalty shot against the Hull Jets in the 2018 NiHL2 Playoffs.

Dippnall said: “I am really happy to be back at Widnes again this season and I’m excited to get the season going again.

“Obviously last year we fell short of winning the league but I am confident in the team Ollie [Barron] is putting together we will have the strength to go one step further this season.”

Once again, Dippnall will wear the number 93 shirt. ●
