Enter shot to grace new base

BUDDING photographers across Halton are invited to enter photos in a competition looking to find artwork to decorate the walls of a newlyrefurbished mental health facility in Widnes.
The Vine Street Centre will be home to North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust’s community-based mental health assessment team, as well as Halton Council’s mental health outreach team and community bridge building team, when it opens this summer.
A North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust spokesman said: “It will act as a sanctuary for people experiencing mental health crisis, offering a safe, calming environment where people can receive urgent support if they need help out of hours.
“The theme of the competition is ‘Halton’ and the team is keen to showcase photography of the local area.
“Entries are invited from people of all levels and abilities but all photographs must meet the following criteri.:
“Photographs should be taken in Runcorn or Widnes
“Photographs should be black and white. Colour photos will be accepted but will be converted to black and white if they are chosen so please bear this in mind.
“Photographs should be digital and must be sent by email.
“Winning photographs will be printed in a large size and must be high resolution.
“We will accept more than one photograph per person.”
To enter, email the photo with the photographer’s name, contact details, photo title or caption and details of where the photo was taken to communications@nwbh.nhs.uk with a subject header ‘ Vine Street photography competition’ by 5pm on Tuesday, July 31.
Winners will be notified by email by Friday, August 10, and one overall winner will receive a £50 shopping voucher.
All those whose photo is selected for display will be invited to an official unveiling event so they can view their framed photography on display in the building.
