Cafe for community restarts for autumn

-

● CHEMICS Café relaunched on September 5 after taking a summer break in August.

On the first Wednesday of every month the free event takes place at the Halton Stadium, and is a fantastic resource for people experiencing the challenges of dementia.

Chemics Café is open to all – from people living in local care homes, to people who live independently in the community, as well as family carers and supporters who simply want to volunteer and help out.

The programme is held in partnership with Community Integrated Care, a social care charity that provides specialist dementia care to people in Halton.

The event gives participants an opportunity to socialise, have fun, and reconnect with their treasured Widnes Vikings memories, among iconic memorabilia and trophies.

With experienced dementia care professionals attending every event, people can also find practical support and advice on living with the condition.

Anyone who is affected by dementia, their family, and carers is invited to find support, friendship and happy times at Widnes Vikings’ Chemics Café events.

Entry is via the Stadium Fitness main entrance.

The events are held on the first Wednesday of each month from 11am-12.30pm.

The events are free of charge and open to all.
