NEW YORK £1,095 FITTED WITH 4.2 KW GASFIRE STOVE PACKAGES FROM £1,895 FULLY FITTED 900 SUITE, SUITABLE FOR PRECAST FLUES - THERESA May used to trade on shallow media interest in her kittenheeled shoes. After her trip to Africa, she has got people talking about her dancing.

But despite touring the cell where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 27 years for protesting against apartheid, she squirmed with embarrassment when she was asked whether she agreed with Margaret Thatcher’s view that Mandela was a terrorist.

At the time, the Conservative Party was split over Mandela, but only how he should be executed – a Tory MP said he should be shot, while the Federation Of Conservative Students distributed ‘Hang Nelson Mandela’ badges.

Of course, if he’d been white and in Eastern Europe, the Tories would have regarded him as a freedom fighter, but he was black and that made all the difference.

In contrast, the Labour Party campaigned against apartheid and Jeremy Corbyn was arrested during a protest outside the South African Embassy.

No wonder Theresa May can’t answer the question and doesn’t want to talk about the issue.
