Masked bike robbery gang fled with scooter
CHESHIRE police are appealing for information from the public after a robbery in Runcorn.
At around 10.40pm on Wednesday October, 3, a 19 year old man was riding his black Beeline Pista 125cc scooter near to The Old Transporter pub at The Croft when he was approached by five males.
One of them nudged him off the scooter and while the victim was off the bike, one of the men got on it and rode off towards the subway that leads to Halton Brook and Halton Brow.
The offender was followed by the rest of the group of males, who were all on bikes.
The group were all wearing dark clothing and had their faces covered.
One of them was riding a white moped and another was on a dirt-style bike.
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and detectives are urging anyone who witnessed the robbert or thinks they may have any information or CCTV or dashcam footage to get in touch. They are also keen to speak to anyone who believes they may know who the offenders are or have informa- tion regarding the whereabouts of the stolen scooter.
Detective Constable Nathaniel Walkowiak said: “The victim has understandably been left shaken up by this frightening incident.
“We are determined to identity the offenders and make them face the consequences of their actions, as well as to recover the stolen scooter.
“Enquiries are ongoing and I urge anyone with any information regarding the incident, the offenders or the stolen scooter to come forward.
“We are also keen to speak to anyone who believes they may have CCTV or dashcam footage of the offenders.”
