WIDNES police have warned residents that deliberate fire setting is an offence.
Taking to Twitter, police said every deliberate fire has costs, victims and consequences and to report any deliberate fire.
Every day over 185 fires are deliberately started in England. They said fires blight neighbourhoods, damage the environment, take up the firefighters’ time and can sometimes cause injury or death.
If a child or young person is playing with or is showing an unhealthy interest in fire, contact the area’s fire station.
Call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 to report anyone setting off fires.
