Free buses laid on for ac­c­cess to fire­work dis­play

FREE buses will be run­ning from Wind­mill Hill to Run­corn Old Town this Bon­fire Night so more res­i­dents can en­joy the fire­works.

The ex­tra ser­vices will be run­ning at 6.20pm, 6.50pm with num­ber 200 buses to run at 6.05pm and 6.44pm, leav­ing Wind­mill Hill cen­tre and South­wood Av­enue and stop­ping at Run­corn High Street.

En­ter­tain­ment in­clud­ing mu­sic will be be­gin­ning by the river at 6.30pm with the fire­works to start at 7.30pm.

Pas­sen­gers us­ing the ser­vice will re­ceive a re­turn ticket, which they must keep for the re­turn jour­ney or have to pay.

The re­turn jour­ney to Wind­mill Hill will be run­ning at 8pm and there is also 20A ser­vice at 7.50pm.

Pas­sen­gers will be charged if trav­el­ling out­side th­ese times.

Wind­mill Hill Big Lo­cal has com­mis­sioned the ex­tra bus ser­vices in part­ner­ship with On­ward Hous­ing, formerly Liver­pool Hous­ing Trust.

Bon­fire Night is on Mon­day, Novem­ber 5.

This year’s dis­play will be pro­vided by Pains Fire­works, the firm re­spon­si­ble for the spec­tac­u­lar py­rotech­nics spec­ta­cle for the open­ing of the Mersey Gate­way bridge and has roots man­u­fac­tur­ing gun­pow­der dat­ing back to the time of Guy Fawkes.
