Free buses laid on for acccess to firework display
FREE buses will be running from Windmill Hill to Runcorn Old Town this Bonfire Night so more residents can enjoy the fireworks.
The extra services will be running at 6.20pm, 6.50pm with number 200 buses to run at 6.05pm and 6.44pm, leaving Windmill Hill centre and Southwood Avenue and stopping at Runcorn High Street.
Entertainment including music will be beginning by the river at 6.30pm with the fireworks to start at 7.30pm.
Passengers using the service will receive a return ticket, which they must keep for the return journey or have to pay.
The return journey to Windmill Hill will be running at 8pm and there is also 20A service at 7.50pm.
Passengers will be charged if travelling outside these times.
Windmill Hill Big Local has commissioned the extra bus services in partnership with Onward Housing, formerly Liverpool Housing Trust.
Bonfire Night is on Monday, November 5.
This year’s display will be provided by Pains Fireworks, the firm responsible for the spectacular pyrotechnics spectacle for the opening of the Mersey Gateway bridge and has roots manufacturing gunpowder dating back to the time of Guy Fawkes.
