Wheel out enthusiasm and empathy for Stick ‘n’ Step

-

● Staff and children getting warmed up for Stick ‘n’ Step’s Wheels Out For Winter fundraising initiative CHARITY Stick ‘n’ Step is asking people across the North West to get their wheels out this winter to help it raise essential funds to help children throughout the region with cerebral palsy.

The idea behind Wheels Out For Winter is to ask supporters of any age and physical ability to get active by whatever wheeled means possible – whether it’s a bike, a scooter, roller skates, Segway or wheelchair – and fundraise for Stick ‘n’ Step by being sponsored for it.

Participants can choose the time, distance and place of their challenge, which needs to take place between January and March 2019.

Head of fundraising Jenny Snell said: “We want to encourage as many as people as possible, no matter their level of physical ability, to get involved with this initiative.

“Some lucky people will be getting a new bike or scooter for Christmas – what better way to start putting it to good use, not to mention getting healthy in the New Year?

“It doesn’t matter if your personal challenge is to cover 100 metres or 100 kilometres, just get your wheels rolling!”

For more information or to register for the Wheels Out For Winter Challenge, contact Jenny by emailing jenny@ sticknstep.org or call 0151 638 0888 or 01928 57 3777.

Stick ‘n’ Step offers support services to children with cerebral palsy and their families.

The charity provides the children with totally free ofconductive education sessions, allowing them to gain the skills they need to live independent lives.

Around 94 children from across the region attend these sessions weekly or twice weekly at the charity’s Wallasey and Runcorn centres.
