Supply teacher firm moves into borough

-

A SUPPLY teacher agency is expanding into Halton.

SIL Supply had previously focused its work in Liverpool, but said it can now conduct business with schools in Runcorn and Widnes after receiving accreditation by The Recruitment And Employment Confederation (REC) accreditation.

A spokeswoman for the firm said it was recently awarded Audited Education Status by the REC, which only a small proportion of REC education members achieve.

She added that the company is proud to have stayed well clear of ‘rogue’ supply teacher agencies that charge excessive fees, and are now subject to plans for a Government crackdown announced earlier this year.

Paul Gibson, of SIL Supply, said: “We are proud of placing the right staff with the right schools.

“Whether it’s a teacher or administrative officer, we’re driven by the desire to support the well-being of the wider school community and make a difference to the lives of children.

“Our REC audited status award supports our vision to be the most trusted, reliable supply agency in the region and offer a viable solution for educational professionals looking for a flexible work-life balance.

He added: “Supply agencies provide a crucial service to schools and we’re proud to play our part in helping local schools find the talented staff they need.” ●
