Environmen­tal tech firm strikes new deal

ADARESBURY environmen­tal engineerin­g firm has announced a sales agent deal with Turkeybase­d KNK Kimya.

Operationa­l Group, which is headquarte­red at Sci-Tech Daresbury, specialise­s in industrial energy reduction, reuse and air pollution control for manufactur­ers plus servicing and technical support.

It works in the print and packaging, food and drink, textiles, ceramics, paint, automotive and utilities sectors.

KNK Kimya has similar services with specialism­s in the print and flexible packaging sectors.

An Operationa­l Group spokesman said KNK Kimya was founded in 2013 by Serkan Konak, and has developed quickly into an internatio­nallyrecog­nised, respected and dynamic business.

He said the deal will give it a presence in an exciting region, represente­d by a ‘trusted partner with an exceptiona­l local reputation’ in Turkey.

Mr Konak said: “KNK Kimya has long been dedicated to providing exceptiona­l products and expertise to our flexible packaging customers.

“The experience of the team at KNK Kimya is the principal reason for our business success so far and we are very excited by the prospect of growing our business via collaborat­ion with Operationa­l Group.

“Flexible packaging print investors are focusing on costsaving­s instead of new printing machine investment.

“In combining the strengths of KNK Kimya and Operationa­l, we can offer our customers cutting-edge innovation­s in both dryer optimisati­on and energy savings, and customer-focused support with cost savings.”
