Two charged with cannabis offences

TWO men have been charged in connection with cannabis-related offences in Runcorn.

Cheshire police said Jake Townsend, 25, of no fixed address and Stuart Morgan, 43, of Halton Brook Avenue, were arrested at around 1.30pm on Friday, July 23.

They were taken into custody and questioned.

Townsend was charged with possession of cannabis, obstructing police and using threatening or abusive words likely to cause harassment alarm and distress.

He was bailed to appear at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, August 19.

Morgan was charged with possession with intent to supply a Class B drug cannabis. He was bailed to appear at Chester Crown Court on August 23.
