Appeal for info after purse theft

A PENSIONER’S purse was stolen from her bag while she was shopping at an Aldi supermarke­t in Runcorn.

The 80-year-old was shopping in Aldi on Southway, at around midday on Wednesday, June 30, when a man stole her purse from her bag.

Cheshire Police have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the theft.

The man pictured is wearing a flat cap, black face mask, a blue shirt and a black gilet.

PC James Sant said: “I’d urge anyone who recognises the man to contact us so that we can progress with our enquiries.”
