ROUTINE PROCEDURES GET OBSTRUCTED EVEN MORE

-

NEW rules applying to care homes, and more particularly to their staff are about to be implemented. I know of one care home which is going to have to let five members of staff ‘go’ because they haven’t had their Covid jabs.

There are no plans to replace these staff so the care home will be limited as to the number of people they look after.

There will be those out there who are thinking it won’t affect them because they, and their relatives, aren’t in a care home, but what happens when the elderly currently occupying hospital beds have nowhere to go, and even more non-urgent operations are cancelled?

Routine hospital procedures are being delayed and the opportunity for early intervention could be missed.

This will adversely affect everyone who cannot afford to pay privately for medical care, or perhaps that was Boris’s intention from the start.
