SURELY WE CAN DO BETTER THAN ‘DEAD CAT’ JOHNSON?

-

SO IT LOOKS like Boris Johnson’s much trumpeted idea for a tunnel or bridge between Northern Ireland and Scotland is set to be scrapped. Is anybody surprised? When he was Mayor of London he couldn’t even build a bridge across the Thames.

The so-called Garden Bridge project failed at the cost of £53m, including £43m of public money. If that kind of waste happened in the Liverpool region we’d be slapped on the wrists and made an example of! But, of course, none of Mr Johnson’s failures seem to matter.

Carried along by a fawning media and a cynical decision to back Brexit to advance his own career he went on to become our current PM.

The fixed link to Northern Ireland was the classic ‘dead cat’ tactic to divert attention from the failure of Brexit and other disastrous decisions taken by Mr Johnson and his cabinet of incompetent lackeys.

Surely we can do better for ourselves than this?
