LABOUR DIDN’T LISTEN

-

THE letters of David Hutton, Janet Black, B Rideau were countermanded by the appalling behaviour of Keir Starmer and Angela Rayner at the Labour conference.

WE would have been out of Europe quicker and Teresa May still been Prime Minister, if Labour had voted with the Tories.

J Black talks about the £350 million we paid to Europe but fails to mention the £2 billion rebate the nice Mrs Thatcher got for us. Surely, the leave voters didn’t think we could keep the £2 billion and still leave Europe?

B Rideau mentions the tunnel from Scotland to Northern Ireland being cancelled. But fails to mention the the tunnel under Halton, the Liverpool tram, and the Mersey Barrage. None of these were built. We were informed the tram, and Barrage, were fully costed. I suggested a Carbon Dioxide National Grid in a Labour consultation, but Malcolm Wicks, the energy minister, turned it down. Labour was too busy running up a £170 billion deficit instead.

measures presumably taken at some expense, as completely futile and pointless.
