No holding back as awards night returns

-

NOW is the time to shine a spotlight on the triumphs and achievements of businesses from across the borough as companies are encouraged to enter the Halton Business Awards 2022.

Applications are now open for entry for these long standing and highly valued local business awards and with 12 different categories, covering every size and sector and multiple entries allowed, there is an opportunity for all organisations to enter and get involved.

Val Allen, chair of Halton Chamber of Commerce, said: “We are delighted to be launching The Halton Business Awards 2022, it’s an incredible opportunity for our local businesses to gain the recognition they deserve, celebrate success and share their incredible achievements.

“The borough is very much open for business and home to some fantastic organisations and exceptional talent.”

The Halton Business Awards, organised by Halton Chamber of Commerce, have been an annual event since 2008 with the last awards receiving a record number of applications and attracting over 400 business leaders and VIPs to the gala dinner.

Covid restrictions meant that this event had to be put on hold in 2020 and 2021 so the team are determined to ensure that this year’s celebration is the biggest and best yet.

Richard Bamber, previous awards winner and owner of Anthony’s Travel, said: “I am delighted that after a near two year break the Halton Business Awards is returning. The awards give local companies the opportunity to showcase the good work they have been doing whilst recognising team members who have continued to go the extra mile.

“In a business world short of positive news, it’s wonderful to see the businesses of Runcorn and Widnes get recognition for their endeavours.”

June 10 will see organisations from across Widnes and Runcorn come together to celebrate outstanding achievements at the glittering gala dinner held in the Marquee Suite at Halton Stadium.

Rachael Owen, chief executive of Halton Chamber of Commerce, said: “There are many benefits to be gained from entering these awards – it can help raise your profile, increase credibility, boost morale and help attract new talent as well as new business.

“We’re incredibly grateful to everyone that helps deliver these awards, including DCBL who are back on board as the main sponsor and local organisations such as CP&D and Mersey Print, who do so much behind the scenes.

“These awards are organised and supported by the business community for the benefit of our local busineses and talented workforce. They are open to all Halton based organisations and completely free to enter so hopefully everyone will get involved.”
