Call to trace man who helped out
INVESTIGATORS are keen to trace a man who tried to help a woman who was assaulted and seriously injured during a late-night altercation.
Cheshire Police said the victim was taken to hospital after an “altercation” broke out between a group of people on Southampton Way in Murdishaw, Runcorn, at 12.15am on
Tuesday, January 25.
Officers have urged the man who helped her to come forward.
Inspector Rob McLoughlin said: “At some point a man came to the victim’s aid but has not spoken to police.
“I’d urge him to come forward to help us with our investigation.
“The same goes for anyone who witnessed an altercation that night.”
A Cheshire Police spokeswoman said two women aged 53 and 39 have been arrested and bailed pending further enquiries as part of the investigation.
