Police in ASBO warning
POLICE in Widnes warned they would be knocking on four doors following anti-social behaviour (ASB).
Widnes Police took to social media on Monday night (February 21) to reveal that ‘groups of youths’ had been causing anti-social behaviour on Bowers Retail Park and the surrounding area.
The force said that the behaviour of the youths involved is ‘causing distress’ for staff and customers who frequent the retail park.
Officers also revealed that the youths had taken fire extinguishers from the area, with three found empty nearby.
The post ended with police stating they would be knocking on four doors ‘shortly,’ in response to the fire extinguishers.
The full post from Widnes Police read: “Day one of half-term and groups of youths are already causing ASB on Bowers Retail Park and surrounding area.
“This is causing distress for staff and customers. They have also taken fire extinguishers – three found empty nearby. We will be knocking on four doors shortly.”
Last week Cheshire Constabulary brought in a dispersal order for parts of Runcorn for the third weekend in a row.
The order was in place at the busway and Trident Retail Park.
